Finally! Time to test the fence!

Dharma (also known as Jaci, Bunny, Lap Monkey & “Hey give that back!”) finally got to run around the yard this weekend. What a great feeling to finally arrive at the pivotal moment! I was terrified. I was afraid after all that work she would just hop 9 feet over, tunnel 6 feet under or spiderman her way out & over a corner brace. None of which happened. She had a blast playing with Lady & meeting the neighbor’s Bull Mastiff mix, Max. It was great to finally see her run.
She & Lady got along great with each other, even though Lady was sulking a bit because up until that point she was still able to leave the yard as she pleased, & she wasn’t too sure how she felt about not being able to escape Dharma’s attacks. But that passed in no time.

Max is a very friendly neighbor dog & it only took a few seconds for them to get along too. I was out early in the morning to take some pictures of the no-dig before it was all buried & just happened to be there with the camera when they met. Dharma’s ruffled hair in the first photo is quite impressive.

We still have a lot of work to do, moving dirt around, finishing details, etc… then the inner gate & a big mess to clean-up. But what a relief this part is finally done. It is going to be great to see all three of them running around the yard when Kodiak comes.
Uh oh, I have to start feeding her “Highness” a lot more now that she is not a couch potato any more.
Well, I just thought you guys (Kim, Kim, Patti & Mike) would like some pictures without a tractor in it for once & to let you know what a great weekend it was.
